Technology We Use for Implants
Dental implants provide our patients with long-term success, an attractive smile, and improved oral health. Combining the utilization of our dental technology with the skills and knowledge of our expert implant dentist, Dr. Jockin, we’re capable of making your smile dreams a reality.
Cone Beam CT Scans
At your consultation, Dr. Jockin will first examine the condition of your mouth and overall oral health with our Cone Beam CT (CBCT) system. This dental CBCT allows us to virtually produce a 3D image of your teeth, gums, and jawbone in order to see every aspect of your mouth.
Once we receive the high-quality depictions of your oral health, Dr. Jockin can create a more accurate dental implant treatment plan. Additionally, the images are taken much more rapidly which reduces your exposure to radiation and minimizes your time in our oral exam chair.
Panoramic X-Rays
At Lake Park Dental, we also may use a panoramic dental x-ray to help plan your dental implant treatment. By using a very small dose of radiation, Dr. Jockin is able to capture one 2D image of your entire mouth. She can then review the complete image of your whole mouth instantly on the machine’s screen.
Guided Dental Implant Surgery
Since 2011, Dr. Jockin has been using a surgical guide to help accomplish successful dental implant placements. With our in-house lab and computer guided implant surgery, she is able to accurately map out exactly where your implants belong.
The advantages of our advanced, computer-guided surgery include:
- Safer, more comfortable surgery
- Finished entirely at our Lutz, FL office
- Limits costs with an easy, one-day procedure
- Done efficiently with little to no error
- A quicker recovery period
- Long-term success with your new implants
Plasma Rich Growth Factors
Dr. Jockin also offers Plasma Rich Growth Factors (PRGF) which help provide the body with a faster recovery after your implant placement. She uses your own blood to help regenerate lost bone or gum tissue and it quickly acts as a sped up healing technique for your surgical site.
PRGF aids in reducing the time it takes for your mouth to adjust to the permanent replacement tooth and allows you to receive your final restoration much sooner.
CEREC®
Once your implant has successfully integrated with your jawbone, we can place your final, natural-looking restoration. With our CEREC equipment, Dr. Jockin is capable of creating your new crown in just one day. There’s no need to schedule an appointment way in advance to complete your implant process, making your treatment as efficient as ever.
Benefits of CEREC:
- Custom-created at our in-house lab
- Fits comfortably and securely to your implant
- No need for messy impressions
- Functions normally like your natural teeth
- Made of high-quality ceramic-based materials
